Program Description

About this event:

Learn how to build a costume on a budget! Bring pieces that you already have in your own closet and we will create some sickening looks together. Zorra and Regina will show you how to use a sewing machine, make simple alterations, and add embellishments. Plus tips on thrifting inexpensive items and a little info on how to design from scratch!

Bring a couple items you already own and are excited to transform into stage-ready costumes with you to the workshop. Sewing supplies and some embellishments will be provided by the library.

This workshop is part of the Performance Art Workshop Series for Teens. Teens can sign up for all of them or just the topics they are most interested in. Participants in the series will have the opportunity to perform in the Youth Pride Talent Show on Saturday, June 10th as a part of the Downtown Ithaca Pride Festival.
