Community libraries are located in Caroline and Danby and offer recreational reading and computer access. They are staffed by community volunteers to enrich their towns and allow convenient access to library resources. These community libraries are affiliated with Tompkins County Public Library.

Local town residents dedicate their time and effort to serve their community by running their community library. Each community library carries a large selection of books, audio books, videos, and magazines for adults and children.

The community libraries receive these materials through support from town funding and local donations. They also receive collection support through the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library, Tompkins County Public Library, and Finger Lakes Library System.
