November is International Games Month

November is International Games Month

Did you know that November is International Games Month? It all started as National Games Day in 2007 as "an attempt to set a world’s record for the number of people playing the same game at the same time at libraries around the world." Since then its grown into a full month of gaming. Participants all over the world celebrate bringing communities together through playing games at their local libraries.

We do a lot of gaming here at TCPL, from workshops like our monthly DM Brainstorming Group where DM's can collaborate and test ideas with each other, and our weekly Ages 8 to 109 Board Game Club that meets every Thursday from 5 to 7pm to play games like Uno, Splendor, Ticket to Ride and more.

This month we are inviting tweens & teens to register for the table top role playing game Honey Heist; a silly and fun adventure where all you need to do is bring your imagination and willingness to be a bear scheming with other bears to steal honey! It's a great entry level role playing game for kids & teens who want to give RPG's a try without having to learn a ton of rules and buy lots of dice.

Not enough games for you? Well, we also have lots of games in our Children's and teen rooms you can play in the library, and a great collection of RPG games and guides you can check out. PLUS we keep adding board games to our library of things you can check out FOR FREE! All you need is a library card!
