Get your karts ready, and be on the lookout for any blue shells because Tompkins County Public Library is hosting a Mario Kart Tournament!

The tournament, planned for Thursday, February 19, will be split into two divisions: One division for kids and tweens, and another division exclusively for teenagers! 

The Library will run the tournament locally on one Switch, projecting Mario Kart 8 Deluxe onto the big screen in the BorgWarner Community Room.

• Kids and tweens can register here to race from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Teenagers can register here to race from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

You can also ask a staff member to for help registering at any Library service desk.

The tournament will be run the same for each age group: 

First and second place in each race will advance to the next round, until a champion is crowned.

First and second place for the tournament will take home a 3D printed trophy commemorating the event. All participants will get a token and snacks!

Audience members who don't wish to compete are welcome!
