Program Description

About this event:

TCPL's Coding Club invites teens ages 12 - 18 to a weekly hands-on series on learning Python. Python is currently one of the most versatile programming languages and offers a simple, beginner-friendly way to get into coding. The meetings will highlight different real-world applications of Python every week. Over the sessions, we will cover the basic syntax and logic of Python and include fun demonstrations and activities on the fundamentals of computer science and programming! Some of the subjects we'll go into include:
•    Variables
•    Control Flow
•    Functions
•    Lists
•    ...and more!
A special guest, Sudeshna Pontula, will lead the club. Sudeshna is a professional developer with experience in teaching intro and advanced CS to K-12 students. No previous coding experience is needed. Seats are limited and registration is required.
