Program Description

About this event:

Tweens (kids ages 9-12) are invited to learn about the beauty and diversity of the continent of Africa - its folktales, its cultures, its people.  Join Narda Bondah for a multimedia celebration of this continent and its countries!  Registration is required.  Please register for one, for some, or for all sessions individually.

Narda Bondah is a TCPL volunteer who was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa.  She recently graduated from Cornell where she led the Ghanaians@Cornell club to provide a sense of community for Ghanaian students and to share the Ghanaian culture with Cornell and the greather Ithaca community.  Withal, she has extensive experience as a STEAM tutor and mentor for middle schoolers.  Merging these two passions, she has designed a 4-week educative and interactive curriculum for children aged 9-12 that explores and celebrates the Amazing Africa.

**A make up date has been added on March 3rd due to the library being closed for inclement weather on February 3rd. **
