Making Mini Quilts for Hospice Ithaca

Join librarian Cady in the Makerspace to piece and quilt quick mini quilts to be donated to Hospicare & Palliative Care Services in Ithaca. Small quilts are useful to patients as modesty lap covers, and as warmers that don't get caught up in wheelchair wheels. 

All materials are provided. Attendees should have a basic ability to use a sewing machine, but beginners are welcome. Visit the Makerspace for a lesson or refresher beforehand if necessary. We will be piecing a simple log-cabin pattern which uses strips and straight lines to create beautiful design.

This is a 2-week commitment, April 21st and 28th. Ages 16+ welcome. If you are able to bring a sewing machine, please do - 4 are available at the library.
