2026 Magazine Sale Begins Monday, February 2

The annual Magazine Sale begins Monday, February 2 at Tompkins County Public Library. It will run through the end of February, or until supplies run out.

Since magazines have a shorter shelf life than other library media, every February the previous year's magazines go up for sale. The magazines cost 25ยข each and will be available on the Avenue of Friends. That's the main walkway when you enter the Library. Proceeds go directly to the Tompkins County Public Library Foundation to support the library.

Our sale of discarded magazines is a great way you can help us reuse and recycle our older issues, while bulking up your own library on topics you enjoy. You can also use them for crafting, scrapbooking, or anything else your imagination can bring!

And did you know: your TCPL card allows you to check out more than 6,000 magazine titles digitally with OverDrive Magazines, by Libby? Learn more and access titles such as The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, National Geographic, Us Weekly, Bon Appetit, Minecraft World and more on the Libby website or by following the link on our Download and Stream page.
