This monthly program with Tompkins County Historian Carol Kammen meets the second Thursday of every month in TCPL’s Local History Room at 12:00 PM. 

This weekly group is intended for adults interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons who have RSVPed to rachel.e.hadley@gmail.com. Minors are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.

Adults are invited to join our weekly board game club! Bring a favorite game or play one that's on hand. RSVPs are appreciated but drop-ins are welcome as well.

Children are invited to attend this weekly LEGO® brick building program. 'LEGO at the Library' encourages children to use their imaginations or LEGO books from the TCPL collection to create their own LEGO art!

Children are invited to practice their reading skills by sharing a story with a truly non-judgmental listener -- a dog! Reading sessions will be held Tuesdays from 3-4 p.m. Children who attend 6 sessions will earn a FREE book of their choice!

New! A second chance to catch Baby Storytime! Caregivers and newborns up to 24 months are invited for music, rhymes, movement and books.

Laura Winter Falk will continue her lecture on her book Culinary History of the Finger Lakes, this time focusing on the history of the vineyards and the wine industry.

Judy Stock uses the banjo, guitar, spoons and many more instruments to bring music to children. This program brings the joy of singing, rhyming, instruments, finger plays and movement all together in one fun filled 30 minute music session.

Hola Amigos!  Spanish through Play Eight week class encouraging children love of language learning

Explore your creative muscles in our weekly after school writing workshops. Sign up for a couple or take them all - each week will be something a little different but attendance at all sessions is not required.

Join volunteer Mehveen for a fun, low pressure gift making project. During this session, Mehveen will lead the group through painting a wooden picture frame, perfect for giving as a gift during the holiday season.

Local comic book artist Ten Van Winkle will be on site in the Digital Lab each week to help you create your own comics. Learn how to use the skills you already have to tell stories with art.

Have you seen the fantastic pieces hanging from the rafters in the Avenue of the Friends at the Tompkins County Public Library? Have you wondered how they were created?

Makerspace is reserved for a private training.  

Truth Be Told Non-Fiction Book Club meets quarterly to discuss a selected non-fiction title. Our meetings are held on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30pm in the Tompkins Trust Company Study Room.

Join volunteers Grace and Angelina for a new knitting and crochet meet up in the Makerspace! Bring your yarn projects for a social chat time, ask for help (we will do our best, or google it!), or get inspired.

Tompkins County Public Library will be offering fall open lab hours in its digital lab.  Open lab hours will provide an opportunity for patrons to drop in and get help with their basic technology questions.  Patrons will be helped on a f
