Program Description

About this event:

Make it light up and learn to code! This program is all about expressing yourself through computer programming. We'll be using the Adafruit Circuit Playground Express, a small microcontroller with big possibilities, to learn the basics of coding and hardware while interacting with the world through light, sound, temperature, and movement. Make guitar you play with light, code an interactive game with your friend, build a heat-detecting lamp, or something completely new and unique. All are welcome. No experience necessary. Enthusiasm required.

Michael Darfler is a maker, coder, educator and nerd, who recently moved back to Ithaca from Philadelphia. He is passionate about the transformative power of MakerEd and excited to be a part of a thriving community of learners.

Registration is required. Register for each session you wish to attend individually. It is not necessary to attend all sessions; each can stand alone. There are only 15 seats per session, so be sure to only register for a session if you know you can attend. If a conflict arises that prohibits you from attending, be sure to cancel your registration as soon as you know of it.
