Program Description

About this event:

Older adults, their family members and caregivers are invited to join Mollie Lynch, Rachel Altman, Alex Sprague, and Dana Ware, for an interactive workshop on computer accessibility at Tompkins County Public Library on Saturday, December 8 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm in the Library’s new Digital Lab.

Part of the Library’s Ask a Professional series, this workshop will address the different options available on the Windows 10 program to adapt your computer in order to make it easier for your use! Additionally, there will be time during the workshop to address any specific questions or troubles you are currently experiencing. This will be an interactive workshop designed to accommodate all comfort levels and abilities when working with technology.  Funding for this program is provided by the Finger Lakes Library System.

All four presenters are current Occupational Therapy graduate students at Ithaca College who have experience working with older adults and technology. We are currently taking a course where we explore how technology can aid in various aspects of daily life, and believe that people of all abilities should have fair and equal access to technology in their daily lives.
