Program Description

About this event:

Join Alana Sullivan of the Women’s Opportunity Center for a discussion group and sharing circle on the experience of ageism in the workplace. Potential topics of exploration include: how ageism interacts with gender, race, ability, and other social identities; examining our own biases around age; what we can do as colleagues, employers, and employees to confront ageism; and how we can create and maintain work environments with intentionally age-inclusive policies and cultures in an ageist society.

Alana Sullivan (she/her) is a career development specialist at the Women’s Opportunity Center of Tompkins & Onondaga Counties, where she works one on one with clients of all genders to explore their options and goals (career-related and otherwise) and collaborate on plans to achieve them. She also develops trainings and programming for the WOC. Table Talks is a regular discussion series hosted by the WOC which explores social issues facing those who hold marginalized sexual or gender identities.

**please note that mask wearing and social distancing guidelines will be followed for this event.
