Program Description

About this event:

Restorative Tompkins meets twice a month to build community through circles, expand knowledge of restorative practices and restorative justice, and practice conferencing role plays. Any member of the public who would like to learn more about this group and restorative practices in general is welcome. Meetings will be held on Wednesday (5:30-7:00pm) and Saturday (1:30-3:00pm). We will be meeting in person, but there will be the option to join us through Zoom as well.

Due to social distancing guidance, space is limited and registration is required for in-person attendees. Registration is encouraged but not required for anyone joining over Zoom.

Jeff Godowski joined Cornell University as the Assistant Dean for Flora Rose House in 2018. They have served in various roles in residence life and student affairs throughout their professional career, specifically in the advancement of living-learning community programs, residential curricula, and Restorative Practices. Jeff is a member of the Restorative Practices in Higher Education Learning Collaborative and is a trained facilitator of International Institute for Restorative Practices (IIRP) training curriculum. Jeff facilitates spaces where teams and individuals can practice vulnerability to understand more about themselves and others, opening doors for communication across difference.
