About this event:

Join us for an afternoon of poetry. Poets will include Roald Hoffmann, Nancy V. Couto, Ange Romeo- Hall and Ingrid Arnesen, Roger Gilbert and David Burak.

Roald Hoffmann, a Nobel Laureate in Chemistry has published 5 books of poetry. Nancy V. Couto has gained critical praise for her work and is the poetry editor of Epoch, the highly regarded literary journal started by Professor Baxter Hathaway ( who founded Cornell's Creative Writing to provide guidance for returning World War II veterans who wanted to write about their experiences). Ange Romeo-Hall is the Director of Manuscript Editing at Cornell Press and will read poems from Love Poem For Terrorists which was recently published in Denmark. Ingrid Arnesen is a lecturer for Multilingual Students at Cornell University and Roger Gilbert is a co-editor of Considering the Radiance (an anthology of essays on the work of A.R. Ammons), as well as a former chair of Cornell's English Department. David Burak has three chapbooks of poetry published, as well numerous newspaper articles in papers like The Ithaca Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Syracuse Post Standard & The Syracuse City Eagle. He is co-editor of Considering the Radiance.

There will be a pizza & tea reception after the reading.
