Ithaca Ballet's The Nutcracker

Families are invited to a festive storytime and performance by Ithaca Ballet! A costumed character from the Nutcracker will do a lively reading of a picture book version of The Nutcracker story, followed by a performance of short excerpts from the Nutcracker ballet. Families will also enjoy a short "learn to dance" session for small children, who will be taught a selection of very simple ballet steps in a group setting. Ithaca Ballet will also bring ballet slippers and other props for the children and audience members to touch and look at during the session.
