Program Description

About this event:

How to Make a Death Binder: A Gift to Your Loved Ones

A virtual workshop to collect your wishes, documents, & papers together, all in one place.

Hosted by Tompkins County Public Library
Presented by Hospicare & Palliative Care Services

A death binder or “in case of death file” is a tool to help organize and keep all your important documents, financial records and personal wishes in one place. Preparing a death binder or file can make it much easier for your loved ones in the event of your death.  In honor of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month, join us for this free virtual workshop led by Wendy Yettru, Manager of Volunteer Services, and Sara Worden, Director of Development & Community Relations, and receive an overview of important documents to include and ideas about how to organize them. Our program includes time for discussion and Q&A.

Program is free but registration is required. Visit Hospicare.org to register.  Call 607-272-0212 or email events@hospicare.org for information.
