FEMA Flood Risk Map Meeting

Primary tabs

Event Description

After the initial FEMA Risk MAP Discovery process in Seneca Watershed, encompassing Tompkins County, streams and problem areas were identified for further evaluation and, if necessary, an updated flood-risk product. This project is the next step in the Risk MAP process in which FEMA and the contractors work to collect additional area through field work like surveying and reconnaissance. This meeting allows for community and county officials in Tompkins County the opportunity to meet with FEMA staff in-person to discuss the new flood map studies and how the flood maps are transitioning from paper to digital maps.
