Program Description

About this event:

Let's get counted!  Join Jennifer Karius, local Census Bureau representative for Census Day on April 1.

The 2020 Census will determine equitable political representation and the distribution of billions of dollars in federal funding for the next 10 years for things like schools, hospitals and infrastructure.

This is a zoom meeting that can also be accessed by phone and is available for anyone who is interested. This Census celebration presentation will give you a well-rounded background about the 2020 Census, or the-every-10-year Census, and its process for counting every person in the United States.

It will explain what it is, what’s new in how it will work this year, and why it is important that you and others participate in it. You’ll get a chance to ask questions about responding to the Census, and be introduced to information tools that the Census offers.
