As part of the 2025 Color Our World Summer Reading Program, SPLAT! Sumthin’ Paint Room is thrilled to bring the joy of Spin Art to TCPL!
Spin Art is a fast, fun painting activity where guests pour or drip paint onto a spinning canvas or disc. As it spins, the paint spreads out into vibrant, unpredictable patterns—no two designs are ever the same! It’s part science, part surprise, and all creativity.
Based in Cortland, NY, SPLAT! Sumthin’ Paint Room is an interactive paint studio where creativity gets messy—in the best way! Known for our colorful, hands-on experiences, we specialize in activities that spark imagination and self-expression for all ages. We bring the Spin Art station, canvases, paint, and all supplies directly to the library. Participants choose their colors and create their own swirling, colorful masterpiece to take home—no artistic experience needed! This year’s Summer Reading theme invites readers to explore the many ways art enriches our lives. Spin Art is a playful and accessible form of expression that lets every participant explore color, motion, and imagination. It’s a joyful way to celebrate creativity and make art feel personal, exciting, and fun.
