Program Type:Arts & Crafts, Classes and Workshops, Makerspace, Online Chat
Please note you are looking at an event that has already happened.
About this event:
Join artist Vanessa Varjian to learn to paint with natural "wood stains" from ingredients in your kitchen! In this class we will simply be using coffee, white vinegar, and steel wool. The result is a weathered looking, natural and non-toxic wood stain, which is used to make painted patterns on wood.
Materials you will need to gather at home:
- White Vinegar
- Steel Wool or Rusty Nails (something steel!)
- Paint brushes
- A glass jar (to create a solution in)
TCPL will provide:
- Wood pieces (but feel free to bring other unfinished wood to experiment on, like the wooden craft plaques sold at local craft stores, or scrap wood from construction projects.)
- Steel wool to those who need it (please let Cady know - firstname.lastname@example.org)
Registration for this virtual ZOOM program is required, and space is limited. You will be contacted when your wood pieces are ready for pickup!
