About this event:

A two-for-one special!

Planned Parenthood will start off with an overview of their services. From their gender-affirming care options that they have on site to outside recommendations, they have all the information you need to develop your identity.

Then, Alternatives Credit Union will present on their Gender-Affirming Care Loan options they have! While medical care can be expensive and intimidating, Alternatives is ready to support you and assist with getting you the care you need.

About the Presenter:

Evan (they/he/she) works as an LGBTQ+ health promoter for PPGNY's Out for Health program, trying to bridge gaps in access to care and resources through community engagement and education. Outside of PPGNY, Evan's work experience has centered around working with the queer community and youth, including work as a peer educator in their college's sex education course and working day camp and summer camp programs. Evan also works with Camp Lilac, a camp for trans and gender diverse youth, in the summer.

Caitlin Hunter is a Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Action Fund based here in Ithaca. She works to build political power and advocates for local and state policy and law to advance the goals of the sexual and reproductive rights and health care movement. Prior to her work at Planned Parenthood, Caitlin worked as a high school Social Studies teacher - which was driven by her love for educating students on how to become engaged citizens, which continues in her work today.

Rachel (she/her) has worked at Alternatives Federal Credit Union as a Member Relations Specialist for two years and represented Alternatives at the 2024 Pride In The Park. She spent several years supporting the local music scene by volunteering for Ithaca Underground as an amateur photographer, and she enjoys local drag and burlesque shows. This will also be her third year participating in Women Swimmin’ for Hospicare.
