About this event:

Cut loose--literally! Come attempt to make improvisational quilt tops with the women of FLAIR (Finger Lakes Art & Inspiration Retreat) . Bring cotton fabric if you've got it. We shall use the technique described in Sherri Lynn Wood's The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters: A Guide to Creating, Quilting, and Living Courageously.  The website http://daintytime.net/workshops/ gives some examples of these kinds of things.

 

No rulers! There are two machines here so bring yours if you've got one. Bring cotton fabric scraps and pieces to share - some fabric is provided but the more the merrier! We will all leave with...something special. A quilt top, theoretically. Also a renewed sense of our own creative powers!! 

Registration required as space is limited. Ages 18 and up.
