The Office for New Americans Opportunity Center at Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga presents "Understanding Social Security Benefits" with Brian Eggleston, District Manager of the Social Security Administration in Ithaca, NY.

This workshop is ideal for immigrants or their loved ones who are planning to retire in 5 to 10 years. Join us for this free, public educational event to hear about who qualifies for benefits, how to apply, and how to read a benefits statement. Additionally, attendees can expect to learn the basics of Medicare, as well as important information about when to apply and what to be aware of if there are changes in citizenship, residency, or death.
