Event Description

Spores, Seeds, and Survival: Living Fossils and the World of Plants is a public program that brings scientists from Ithaca's academic community to discuss their research as it relates to evolution, in this case plant evolution and "living fossils." Our panelists, all paleobotanists, are Dr. Alejandra Gandolofo, Associate Professor in Plant Biology at Cornell, Dr. Bill Crepet, Professor in Plant Biology at Cornell, and Dr. Liz Hermsen, Research Scientist at the Paleontological Research Institution.

The event is part of Darwin Days, an annual series of events that celebrates the life and ideas of Charles Darwin. The Paleontological Research Institution hosts.
