Library Employment

Library Employment

The library staff is made up of many different positions, from the people you see at the service desks to those who work behind the scenes getting the materials ready for the collection.

Vacancies

Any paid library job opening is listed at https://www.tompkinscivilservice.org/civilservice/vacancies. These positions are within Tompkins County civil service jurisdiction, and in most cases, require the applicant to take an exam.

We do not distribute or accept applications here at TCPL. The entire application process is handled by the Tompkins County Personnel Department at https://www.tompkinscivilservice.org.

Please keep your application updated with the Personnel Department.
