Program Description

About this event:

In honor of Will Eisner Week, families, teens, and adult patrons are invited to an open comics drawing session for your submission to TCPL Community Comics, in the Makerspace and Digital Lab. Drawing materials will be provided. Drop-ins are welcome.

Teen patrons can continue the celebration all through the month of March with special comic making projects held during the weekly Maker Monday program. See the calendar for more Will Eisner Week programs.

TCPL Community Comics

Every year during the first week of March, Will Eisner Week is a celebration held around the world of comics, graphic novels, sequential art, free speech and the legacy of Will Eisner, a pioneer in the field of comics.

This year at TCPL, you can help us celebrate! The library will provide blank comic strips which anyone, young or old, can use to create a short story about anything they want. Then, submit your comic at the library to be displayed alongside other artists in our talented community.

Submissions will be accepted and displayed throughout the month of March. Come show off your creative side and celebrate an art form!
