Program Description

About this event:

Join us in the Makerspace for self-led open hours!

Bring your project, or make something with our available tools and materials. Share ideas with other makers, learn from volunteers and members of the community, and tinker to your heart's content!

High-tech maker tools will be available for use. Sign-up when you arrive for a chunk of time on a machine, including the 3D printers, laser cutter, cricut, and embroidery machine. See here for a complete tool list.  While help with running jobs/determining settings will be available, help learning the computer design process will be limited or unavailable during these sessions.

During Open Hours in the Makerspace, the following rules apply to library material usage:

   1. Materials are free to use in a limited fashion during 1-on-1 trainings with staff or volunteers, and specific library programs.

   2.  Cardboard, normal paper and 3D filament are free to use for all patrons during open hours.

    3. Wood, acrylic, sticker vinyl, and other specialty materials are not available free for personal use during open hours. Please provide your own materials. Ask a staff member about where to buy appropriate materials.

    4. Any plastic or non-wood materials must be approved by library staff – please provide proof of material content in the form of a receipt or label.

This session is for ages  12+  first come, first served. No registration required.

Let's make something amazing!
