About this event:

Steve Sierigk, owner of Hawk Meadow Farm in Trumansburg, NY will be joined by Intern and Cornell student Isabel Gareau ('19) to present an overview of medicinal mushrooms.

They will discuss mushrooms' importance in the realms of Traditional Chinese Medicine and their bioactivity  Steve is a grower of many of these species and will talk about growing methods simulating wild grown mushrooms.  Isabel has a strong interest in ethnopharmacology and will present current medical research supporting many of the traditional uses for these mushrooms.
