Program Description

About this event:

Come learn in this lecture series from Cornell graduate students how clingy ticks, dairying ants and talking beetles interact with us and each other.

Did you know that between ticks and mosquitoes, ticks actually cause more diseases in the United States? Have you heard of Lyme Disease but don’t exactly know what it is? In this interactive talk, we will dive deep into the world of ticks, learn about the ways you and your pets can avoid tick bites, and examine specimens under a microscope.

Mervin Cuadera is an Entomology Graduate Student at Cornell University. He studies how ticks are affecting human health in the state of New York.
