T.A.G. Meetings and Activities

Activity: Book Promotion – audio and video book reviews and book art reviews. Bring titles of books that will inspire you to create an abstract book cover design to feature in the teen area and or or a video/audio review.

T.A.G is serving up book suggestions. Every month we suggest a title for the group and community to read. Selected titles are displayed on the Teen Bulletin board and Teen Book Blog.

Calling all teens interested in making the library work for you!

  • Are you between the ages of 12 -17
  • Do you have ideas to improve the library’s teen services?
  • Do you want to participate in monthly fun activities?
  • Do you love to read, write book reviews, and learn about new books?

If you answered yes to the above questions, we want you to become a member of the Tompkins County Public Library’s Teen Advisory Group (T.A.G) and assist us in providing an exciting teen department, one that works for you.

What does the T.A.G group do?

Tag members support and increase awareness of teen services and assist in decisions that help provide an exciting teen environment and have a lot of fun through:

  • Developing and assisting with programming for students their age.
  • Bringing teens into the library through spreading the word about books, the library, and its programs.
  • Writing book reviews.
  • Suggesting titles for purchase.
  • Volunteering at special events.
  • Attending monthly meetings and activities.

  • Find out about new books.
