A Mellower Pete Panek to Perform

Known for his electric work with the Blue Cats and Rockers, local music icon Pete Panek will take a mellower approach to his rocking roots/blues sound when he performs at the Tompkins County Public Library on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM.

Panek, a Chicago native, has been performing in and around Ithaca since the early 1980s. His performance at the Library will include selections from his new, solo CD “Channeling” and many of the classic blues covers that have helped build his reputation as one of the area’s finest blues performers.

Panek’s performance is part of the Library’s popular Music on Sundays program. Music on Sundays brings a musical act to the Library’s Ezra Cornell Reading Room on the fourth Sunday of each month from September through May.
