Families Learning Science Together Programs
The Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to announce the return of Families Learning Science Together.
A program of the Cornell Center for Materials Research (CCMR) and TCPL, Families Learning Science Together provides families with the opportunity to participate in hands-on, highly educational workshops to build a love and knowledge of science.
Six monthly workshops will be held on Saturdays in conjunction with the 2007-2008 program, beginning Saturday, October 27 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with Science on a Small Scale. Other Programs to be held are as follows:
November 10th—Bridge Building
December 15th—Vitamin C
January 19th—Magnets
February 16th —Classifications
March 22nd—Simple Machines
Families Learning Science Together workshops are best suited for children ages five through 12 and their caregivers. They will be held in the Thaler-Howell Program Room at the Library. The program is free and open to the public.
