Read, Review and Reap Rewards

Reading will become a lot more rewarding this summer for local teens participating in the Tompkins County Public Library’s 2007 Teen Summer Reading Program.

Teens that read and review two books between June 27 and August 17 will be entered in a raffle to win a deluxe media basket, which will include an Apple iPod shuffle, Gumy Earbuds, a flash drive and a $15 gift certificate for iTunes. Other prizes being raffled include gift certificates to the Bookery, Purity Ice Cream and Juna’s Café.

The Teen Summer Reading Program is free and open to teens in grades 7 through 12. Review sheets can be found at the library or online at http://www.tcpl.org/teen/summer. Participants must read and review at least two books to be entered in the raffles, however, each review serves as a raffle ticket, so each additional book you read increases your chance of winning.

For more information contact Adelle Leise at 272-4557 ext. 275.

The 2007 Teen Summer Reading Program is made possible through a grant provided by the J.M. McDonald Foundation.
