Families Learning Science Together: Microworld

Tompkins County Public Library and Cornell Center for Materials Research’s first Families Learning Science Together (FLST) program is MicroWorld. This will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 1pm-2pm in the Thaler- Howell program room of the Tompkins County Public Library. Families will learn how to use the optical microscope as a unique tool for scientific discovery. Participants will rotate through a number of stations investigating things on a microscopic level. The stations will include fingerprint ridges; fabrics; sands and brine shrimp. All FLST programs are free to the public, but space is limited. Please reserve your spot by contacting Educational Programs Manager, Kevin Dilley by email: kdilley@ccmr.cornell.edu or by phone: (607) 254-8256.
