Storytimes Resume at the Tompkins County Public Library

Starting the first week in October, Tompkins County Public Library will resume programming with 4 different storytimes: Babies, Books, and Bounce Time; Toddler Storytime; Preschool Storytime, and Family storytime.

Babies, Books, and Bounce Time:

Parents and caregivers with children from birth to 16 months are invited every 1st and 3rd Thursday @ 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. beginning October 5th 2006 through May 17th 2007 in the Thaler/Howell Children's Program Room for stories, rhymes, finger-plays, and some great quality time! Running dates: 10/5/06, 10/19/06, 11/2/06, 11/16/06, 12/7/06, 12/21/06, 1/4/07, 1/18/07, 2/1/07, 2/15/07, 3/1/07, 3/15/07, 4/5/07, 4/19/07, 5/3/07, 5/17/07.

Toddler Storytime:

Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their children ages 16 months to 3 years for stories, crafts, songs, and more every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m. beginning October 3rd 2006 through May 29th 2007 in the Thaler/Howell Children's Program Room.

Preschool Storytime:

We invite all children ages 3 to 5 years and their caregivers to enjoy stories, crafts, songs, and more every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. beginning October 4th 2006 through May 30th 2007 in the Thaler/Howell Children's Program Room.

Family storytime:

Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to Family Storytime every Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon beginning October 7th 2006 through May 26th 2007 in the Thaler/Howell Children's Program Room. We'll read great books, and have some fantastic family fun!

The above programs are all held in the Thaler/Howell Children’s Program room located in the Youth Services Department. These programs are free open to everyone. No pre-registration necessary. All children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. For more information call 607-272-457 extension 275.

The 2006-2007 storytimes are supported in-part through a grant from the John Ben Snow memorial trust.
