Links to Healthy Living Workshops -- September 18 - 20 and October 2 - 4, 2003

Healthy living is just a click away thanks to a grant from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. Tompkins County Public Library will debut "Links to Healthy Living" a series of workshops to train individuals on where to find answers to health and medical questions on the Internet.

Jo-Ann Benedetti of Crandall Library in Glens Falls New York will lead the workshops. Ms. Benedetti is a national presenter of Consumer Health Information. She will teach participants how to navigate the Internet to find reliable, up-to-date information.

Workshops are free and will take place at the following locations:

Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
at the Caroline Community Library
Caroline Town Hall

Friday, Sept. 19, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
at the Lansing Community Library Center
Old Town Hall

Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 2, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

For teenagers
