Ithaca Reads Antigone

By popular request Tompkins County Public Library hosts the 2nd annual community reading. The library will again work in cooperation with Cornell University's Freshman Reading project to bring Sophocles' Antigone to Ithaca and Tompkins County. This year's selection of Antigone offers opportunities to combine literature, theater, history, architecture and discussions of current events and civil unrest with a great classic drama.

To find out more about this year's reading project and to help with the planning of book discussion groups and activities to complement the community reading, please join us at a planning forum on Wednesday, June 25, at 4:00 p.m. in the Borg Warner Room at the Tompkins County Public Library. Copies of Antigone will be available for community book discussion groups.
