Join Reid Badger from New York University for a discussion of “The Music That Made the Twenties Roar: American Music and Culture in the Jazz Age,” Saturday, October 21, 2 - 4 p.m., in the Tompkins County Public Library Ezra Cornell Reading Room.  Professor Badger also teaches in the popular Jazz at Lincoln Center series, and his most recent book is A Life in Ragtime. This program, which is free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ Speakers in the Humanities program.  Professor Badger will explore through jazz the moods, tensions, and sweeping social changes that shape the modern American experience.
