The Flywheels are a group of young people who play bluegrass with grit, with some old time fiddle tunes and honky-tonk numbers thrown in for good measure. They are Liz Pickard on guitar and vocals from Truxton, NY, Sam Schmidt on fiddle, guitar and vocals from Interlaken, NY, and Cap Cooke on banjo, guitar and vocals from Ithaca, NY.
