NOVEL is a statewide virtual library provided free to the public by the New York State Library. It is currently a pilot project funded through a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant to the NY State Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

Columbia Granger's World of Poetry
This database includes 10,000 public-domain poems in full text, 7,500 excerpts from in-copyright poems, and a 135,000 poem citations indexed by title, first line, last line, author, subject, and searchable also by keyword.

Designed to meet the research needs of undergraduate and high school students, the Literature Resource Center provides access to biographies, bibliographies and critical analysis of authors, from every age and literary discipline. Combining Gale's most used literary databases in a single Internet-searchable service, the Literature Resource Center covers more than 90,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists and other writers, within-depth coverage of 2,000 of the most-studied authors. Search by Author Name, Title, Genre, Literary Movement or Literary Themes, or combine criteria to create a custom search path. Click here to view a complete list.
NoveList
NoveList is an electronic readers' advisory resource which assists fiction readers in finding new authors and titles. The product also supports library staff who are working with these readers. NoveList allows readers to use a favorite author or title as a template to locate other authors and titles of interest. Readers can also enter words that describe the contents of a book they would like to read, and NoveList retrieves titles that contain these words in the book's subject headings field. In addition, users can browse over 1,200 theme-oriented book lists, 160 award lists and 1,800 fiction related web-sites.
Twayne's Authors Series
Twayne World, US, and English Authors each contains the full text of 200 frequently used Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World, US, or English authors, for a total of 600 individual full-text titles.
