Internet Services AvailableThe Tompkins County Public Library provides Internet access to patrons via two methods. Twenty-one public Internet access computers are available for patrons’ use for browsing the World Wide Web. In addition to these library-owned computers, the library makes available open floorjacks and wireless Internet access. Patrons may use their own computers to connect to this network and access the Internet. All Internet use in the Library requires you to agree to our Internet Access Services Rules. If you are new to the Internet, TCPL offers individualized training sessions to teach you the skills required to search for information on the Internet. For the purposes of system security and stability the Internet services available via these networks is limited. The following table describes the permitted services as well as some which are explicitly blocked.
Access to these computers is free and open to the public. You will need to purchase a print card in order to print. Print cards cost $1.00 and come encoded with $.60. You can add funds to these cards and use them time and again. Print-outs are $.20 a page. |
